Overview

Trilogy was one of the best tricks of its day. It has been superseded and replaced by Trilogy Extreme. For that reason, Trilogy and the Streamline need not an in depth review. Just check out Trilogy Extreme. It is totally awesome. It's great. Old Trilogy and Trilogy Streamline is now obsolete.

But, anyhow, the Streamline was an advance to the obsolete Trilogy because you were able to have one deck on the table from beginning of the trick as opposed to 2 decks from which you were waiting to choose one based upon a spectator's choice.

This book helps you set up the Trilogy deck so that you only have to use one deck. The conversion is a 4 page pamphlet that tell you how to set up your deck. The deck cannot be handed out, but the selected cards can be shown on both sides.

The rating here is low because no one would do Streamline now - just check out Extreme!

Effect

With Trilogy, you perform for 3 spectators. One guesses an even number that is prewritten on the back of a named card. The other guesses an odd number that is written on the back of another named card. The third guesses any card that has a named number on it.

The following is the ad copy from the "Trilogy Streamline - Version 2.0"

Trilogy Streamline has all the impact of the original but get this; the deck is in full view from the very beginning!

3 Times The Effect 100 Times The Impact

Effect

You name a random card, spectator one picks a random number. Next you name a second random card and a second spectator picks a different number. Finally, YOU name a number and spectator three names ANY CARD he likes. Get this, you ALWAYS choose first! We bet you can see where this is going and are already thinking how the...!

OK - here goes: You open the card case and remove the deck. You freely show that all 52 cards have different numbers on them. You remove the card spectator number 3 named and place it face up on their hand. You now turn the deck over and remove the cards bearing the numbers spectators one and two named. When you flip over the first two you have an exact match card/numbers! The third card is still face up, Remember; spectator three had a free choice of ANY card. It couldn't possibly be, could it? The spectator turns it over - it's the exact number you named!!! All three spectators are left holding the exact card/number match that they picked!

An absolutely incredible 3 way prediction.
Easy to do and quick to reset.
Small enough for close-up & big enough to play on stage.
Trilogy Streamline is one effect you will be mad to miss!

Comes complete with a special deck of cards.

Method

You use a special deck of cards that makes the miracle happen. It is truly a miracle if you have not seen it before, you should.

Product Quality

It is a brief pamphlet and it looks nice. Its just nothing that anyone would buy today because it is not needed with the advent of the Extreme version.

Ad Copy Integrity

There is basically no ad copy. It just says: All the information you need to convert your original Trilogy to the NEW hard-hitting Streamline version.

I am a great fan of Trilogy. I believe that the streamline version is not as good as you have to control the spectators' choices a little more. But if you own Trilogy and have seen the video for Trilogy Streamline and can't figure out how to convert from one to the other, you are seriously lacking in imagination. It is so obvious that it is hard to imagine anyone needing this book. Either of the original tricks is excellent and since you can create a Streamline version (or two) from the original, I'd recommend the original. Brian had two interesting ideas and then tries to milk it for a little extra cash by assuming there are magicians with more cash than brains. An insulting product that you should find unnecessary.
