(Based on 2 reviews)
After long days of discussion with our good friend Lyndon Jugalbot, finally Lyndon managed to re-release 4 of his effects in a DVD with us. These 4 effect are remastered where the effects and handlings are enhanced. This dvd comes with the necessary props so you can make the gimmicks without worrying the materials. Besides that, this DVD included his three underground effects which means that Lyndon will sharing his 7 powerful effects in a single dvd. This is a collection of Lyndon's signature effects.

1-Haunted Wallet 2.0:
The rising bill has never been easier. The new gimmick design allow you to perform the effect completely self working. The best part is you can hand out everything for the examination and you can even control the bill back into the wallet.

2-Gravitation:
Borrow any bill and animate it by your command. Keep the gimmick in your wallet so you can perform the effect at anytime and anywhere.

3-Fortuna:
Lyndon and Skymember has taken bill through card to a new level. Take out the lucky card and borrow a bill, let's the penetration happens right in front of the spectator's eyes.

4-Fraction:
The upgraded version of Lyndon's best seller effect "Half" visually twist the card before the spectator's eyes.

5-Dispense:
This is Lyndon approach to the classic torn card effect. Visually vanish the torn corner and make it reappear in your spectator wallet.

6-Iswitch:
One of the simplest ways to switch a card in an isolated space for a spectators chosen card. The deceptive move for an open prediction effect.

7-Mystique:
An insanely visual ink changing effect as seen on TV. The possibilities are endless. Never let it limited by your imagination.

*Gimmick included*

Overview

Remastered by Lyndon Jugalbot is a collection of 7 tricks which are primarily based around animating bills and cards. Many but not all seem to use a wallet as part of the presentation. Almost all of these are quick snippets of magic and at least in the DVD, have no real presentation behind them. I personally abhor these “international” style DVDs with no talking and just repetitive sound tracks playing in the background while you try to watch the trick and read the subtitles. There isn’t a whole lot new here as there are already, rising bill tricks, card to wallet tricks and bill through card tricks.

Effect

Seven versions of tricks that have already been done dozens of times over. The description of each trick is in the body of the ad copy so there is no need to repeat it.

Method

The method of course is using a slew of gimmicks. A wallet seems to be needed to either house the gimmicked objects or be used as a shield to hide the minor sleights involved.

Product Quality

The DVD is of sub-par quality. Each trick is performed, explained and then the gimmick construction follows. The DVD is 38 minutes long so if you average it out, each tricks gets less than 6 minutes devoted to it. As mentioned in the overview, the is no talking. The DVD has English sub-titles and like all these “international style” DVDs they seem to like to play repetitive and distracting music which never seem to be the kind I would want to listen to. The only good thing I can say about the set is they do supply some of the materials to gimmick your bills and cards.

Ad Copy Integrity

The ad copy is comprised of mainly the description of each trick. Although accurate, it never mentions this DVD is like watching a silent film from the 1920’s.

PROS

This is a collection of several street magic style effects.

Some of the effects are very good. Mystique is a very good effect where a heart drawn on the back of a playing card visibly vanishes from the card and appears on their selected card.

CONS

One of these tricks had flawed magic principles. For example, there is a “magician’s choice” routine using the ISwitch handling. The instructions say to use magician’s force for red vs black, then the same for picture vs number, etc. This means that with the first, you might be throwing away their selection, the second you might be using their selection, and with the third you might be throwing away their selection again. This is flawed magic thinking. The ISwitch move allows you to switch one card for another using a wallet.

VERDICT

Some good, some not so good. I think more thought could have been put into the project.
