Red Handed
Jean-Pierre Vallarino
(Based on 1 review)
Uses a bag and five balls (three white balls, one red and one black). ENTIRELY EXAMINABLE before and after the trick!
Balls are thrown and mixed in a bag and picked up by spectators. Everything is realized in a blind way. Nobody can see anything neither the magician, neither the spectators. Thus, no one know who has taken this or that will know what has been taken. ONLY YOU will be able to tell who has taken something ONLY YOU can tell your spectators the color of the ball he has taken in hishand though he cannot possibly know the color of the ball.
A real miracle very easy to do! Entirely automatic (immediate reset) Impromptu Can be done under any condition (no angle) Bag and balls included

DOC JOHNSON REVIEW:
RATING
I give this three out of five stars.
WHAT YOU GET
You get a nice black cloth bag and five small balls, three white, one red, and one black. In the effect, participants each take a ball from the bag without you seeing what they took and you are able to determine who has the black ball and who has the red ball. You truly don’t see who took what ball.
WHAT I LIKE
The methods are very good. It uses a combination of two methods, one that relies on gimmicks built into the props and another that relies on some very simple, easy to do sleight of hand. These require pretty beginner skill level.
The routine can be done completely surrounded.
The explanation is very good. The DVD is broken down into four sections:
Demonstration: He shows the routine performed for a real audience. It is a very nice performance that I think would appeal to both professionals as well as amateurs. The routine setting looks like it could be either a professional magician performing at an evening event or an amateur performing for friends at a party.
Introduction: He introduces the props and how they work.
Explanation of a four ball routine: This is a nice explanation of how to do a routine where you have three white balls and one black ball and how you can tell who picked which ball. This is particularly useful for any routine where you need or want a single revelation. This routine uses no real sleight of hand. The gimmicks really do most all the work.
Explanation of a five ball routine: This is the explanation of a routine with five balls where you have two revelations. You reveal who has the black ball and who has the red ball. The explanation is very good. This routine uses a combination of the nature of the gimmicks as well as some really simple sleight of hand.
The explanations get right to the point of showing a live performance and clearly explaining the workings without wasting any time.
The ad is accurate and truthful. The effect really does happen exactly as stated and shown and the reset really is simple and easy. If you liked the trailer, you will like the effect.
The quality of the product is mixed. The bag is a very nice black cloth bag with a black drawstring with nice ornamentation at the ends of the string. The bag is fully examinable. However,
WHAT I DON’T LIKE
The balls were not of the best quality. They appear hand made. In my set, one of the balls was significantly smaller than the others. I really like the methods and the routines, but I will likely be on the lookout for better balls.
Also, you should know that the bag can be fully examined and the balls can be fully examined. However, the bag and the balls should not be handed out together for handling or examination.
AT A GLANCE
Skill level required: 1 of 5.
Audience management skill required: 1 of 5.
Performance angles: 360 degrees
Reset time required: None. Resets immediately.
DIY time involved in advance: None
VERDICT
I really like the routines possible with this and I really like the methods used. He uses a combination of two methods that work really well together. I didn’t like the quality of the balls, but all in all, it was a really good purchase for me. In spite of me personally really liking this, I had to mark it down significantly because of the quality of the balls.
