Overview
Badge is a cleverly designed gimmick that will allow you to change a prediction which is hanging around your neck instantly without touching it. Sebastien Calbry (and friends) is known for his unique take on making the impossible happen. I’m always amused and amazed when I encounter one of his creations. As the Joker said in the movie Batman “where does he get all those wonderful toys?”Effect
On a chain around the magician’s neck is a playing card, its back towards the spectator. On the card is a prediction, for the sake of explanation it says the three of diamonds. He has a spectator pick a card. The magician confidently states, that it matches his prediction which has been around his neck the whole time. Unfortunately, it does not. The magician recoils in surprise, how can it not? In an instant, the prediction around his neck has changed to the selected card.Method
The card itself is gimmicked which will allow the change. How it changes is in itself fascinating. The change can be made without the magician even raising his hands. The very action of leaning a bit back will facilitate the needed movement to initiate the change. A very interesting use of physics.Product Quality
You will receive a gimmicked card and all the associated hardware necessary for you to achieve this effect. The gimmick is well made and should last a long time. However, like many gimmicks constructed in a similar manner, you may have to repair it. The DVD covers all the necessary topics for you to successfully perform this effect. The DVD runs about 30 minutes. It covers a basic performance, the setup, how to customize and repair the gimmick if needed.Ad Copy Integrity
The gimmick operates as stated and will change without having to touch the card. There may be a bit of misconception as far as the ad copy goes. You cannot hand out the changed card for examination. It is made well enough for one to display the card for a moment but if one would actually handle it, the card will feel a little abnormal.Final Thoughts
