It's two... two... two tricks in one. You can perform it as a card revelation or a packet trick. Performed as a packet trick with the theme of a vision test, a four of a kind is shown. The spectator is asked which card was face down, they say, none. The cards are shown and the Heart is face down. One at a time the remaining cards turn face down (showing a red back). Then all the cards are face up again. To test their color vision, they are asked to name the back color of the cards (red). All the backs are seen to have blue backs. To test their vision retention, one card is pocketed, but four cards are shown. The cards are turned face down, and the spectator is asked to read the top line (an eye chart is printed in bold black letters on the backs of all four cards which are examinable.). As a card revelation, the spectator selects a card (Force). After several failed tries the magician asks for the name of the selected card and to make sure the card was seen correctly, an eye exam is given. The trick then finishes as before and the name of the selected card is seen printed on the eye chart. Eye Exam is very easy to do (if you can hold two card together as one, that's all you need to do.). Also includes a page of additional tips and hints called Eye Exam Extras that give hints and tips, and a finish where the cards are examinable (thanks to a Paul Harris suggestion). It also gives you neat ideas like how to produce a rubber eyeball at the finish.

Overview

This is a very easy effect to learn with very two very minimal and simple slights of which many of you already know. If you are a novice in learning some card effects this is really a great buy to start with. As mentioned, you can at the conclusion pass out all four cards for inspection (after ditching one card which is part of the severely constructed routine). Once perfected, you will truly amaze your audiences with this effect with guaranteed laughs included. Great for table-side performances as well as strolling as no table or surface is needed. You will receive a double sided page of instructions which are fairly easy to follow, no online tutorial is available.

Effect

It`s two... two... two tricks in one. You can perform it as a card revelation or a packet trick. Performed as a packet trick with the theme of a vision test, a four of a kind is shown. Method

This in one of the gems you find along the way that is really a find. You can perform this solely as a packet trick where a four court cards of the four suits are shown face up and then one at a time they turn over. Then as a color test, each of the cards that were just red backed change to blue backs. Then miraculously the originally displayed court cards turn into four eye charts. Additionally if you want, the cards showing the eye chart will reveal a card in small print previously selected from a full deck to reveal the spectators choice.

Product Quality

The cards I received are Bicycle backs and are printed on good quality card stock, just what you would expect from Bicycle. If you keep them in a small wallet along with your other packet effects, they will last you a very long time for many performances.

Ad Copy Integrity

The ad description is very accurate but really think it should say “Three tricks in one” because that is what you are getting. Wow, it’s a better deal than is advertised. Not usual that you get more than you expected or paid for

Final Thoughts

This is a very easy effect to learn with very two very minimal and simple slights of which many of you already know. If you are a novice in learning some card effects this is really a great buy to start with. As mentioned, you can at the conclusion pass out all four cards for inspection (after ditching one card which is part of the severely constructed routine). You will receive a double sided page of instructions which are fairly easy to follow, no online tutorial is available. As most tutorials are online and some find visual instructions easier, I am deducting 1/2 a star but all in all a very great buy.

Every once in a while I dig out something from the closet that I used to love and have forgotten about. This is one of them. This is a fun packet trick that is easy to perform and has a laughter inducing kicker. There are many different ways to present this effect.

The basic effect consists of showing what appears to be four bicycle red backed Jacks. The cards are displayed one at a time and each time a different Jack magically turns face down. Then, it appears that each back turns blue. For the kicker, each card is turned over and an eye exam chart is printed on each card. If you want to use the eye exam chart to reveal a selected card, you can do that too by having the spectator read each line -- the final line has the name of a card printed on it.

The trick comes with the specially printed gaffed Bicycle cards which is the same quality as the standard 808's. The two-pages of instructions with different routines are clear and easy to follow.

Looking for a fun and easy packet trick? This is it!
