Disk Escape

Magic Makers

(Based on 1 review)
Five colored brass disks are displayed. The spectator is asked to flip the disks over and mix them up hiding the different colors. The spectator selects a disk and is asked to place all disks in the container. The container is sealed and a string is run through the center. Magically, the performer is able to make the selected disk escape from the string of disks and drop out of the chamber

As with all Magic Makers brass items this is very well made.
The ad copy is correct but a bit fuzzy.
The spectator indeed mixes up the coloured disks and puts them face down into the tube with the chosen disk on the top. The magician is turned away while this is going on. The spec then puts on the lid.
After the lid is on tight, the magician threads a brass needle on a string through the tube all the way through.
The spec or the magician holds the ends of the string. When the two halves are pulled apart the chosen disk escapes from the string and the other disks are still threaded.
I found the effect quite baffling.
The instructions are very well done and clear. There is a video and an written instructions. There are no performances and no routine.
I like this a lot because of the quality and the easy method.
It looks like a magic prop because it is magic.
